Last December, Martin Caldwell (Head of Finance & Operations at Swansea University) opened communications with the possibilities of making the shop more user friendly. The last time we worked on the Costcutter chain in Swansea University was 5 years ago, which flew all too quickly.
The shop was a retro fit or refurbishment completed to the new Costcutter specification with the new layout to focus on food to go and reducing the queuing speeds by adding in a system and self-service check outs. The job was completed in three weeks, out of term time and before the students returned for Fresher’s Week which included snagging. The project was overseen by our fantastic Project Manager Chris Moore.
Martin Caldwell commented:
“The Students’ Union have recently completed a major refit to its flagship Costcutter store which involved working closely with Jordon’s and utilising their extensive and invaluable expertise and guidance.
It is the second time we have worked with them on such a project and on each occasion their professional approach to delivering our project objectives has been outstanding.
I have no hesitation in recommending them as a project partner on any similar initiatives.”
