In the summer of 2018 we fitted-out this wonderful new Insomnia Coffee Shop in Coalville, Leicestershire. Project managed by Chris Moore and his highly skilled team of joiners and refrigeration engineers, this re-fit was delivered on time and within budget.
Insomnia Coffee truly believe in great coffee and their promise is to deliver the best cup of coffee to each customer every single time they visit. They have grown from a single location in a small bookstore in 1997 to an estate of over 140 coffee shops across high street and through partnerships with SPAR and EUROSPAR in addition to other retailers such as Primark, Debenhams, Compass Catering, Maxol, Eason, Fresh, Meadows & Byrne, and Heatons. In addition, the company has in excess of 300 self-service units in operation, both in the UK and Ireland.

We are hitting the ground running in 2019 with the launch of this fantastic new Burger Bar in Blackburn – Frankie’s!
We had the privilege of being the main contractor on this extensive project and the building has been completely renovated both internally and externally. The restaurant was formerly the Pitchers Bar and was completely renovated due to disrepair. It had stood vacant for some time, becoming an eyesore in the town centre.
The new look interior features the signature Frankie’s sign and booths with red leather furnishing.
Their unique VIP party area is guaranteed to deliver the perfect party experience, diners can even take pictures around their ‘Frankie’s Angel’ wings and add a Frankie’s snap chat filter!
The official opening is 25th January when it will serve authentic ‘Moody Angus’ burgers made with 100% Angus beef and mouth-watering Peri Peri chicken as well as a range of dishes, deserts and milk shakes made with Swiss Movenpick Ice Cream. Frankie’s also eventually plans to open for breakfast.
Managing Director Shaheena Patel is thrilled with the outcome of the restaurant and comments;
We worked closely alongside the Rootes team to ensure a fresh new concept was delivered to this campus store. There was a lot of hard work to be done to complete the transformation from the previous Costcutter store to the exciting new ‘Rootes’. Retail design consultant Roddy Brookes was able to lend his expertise and experience, making the whole project from concept to reality very easy, and all completed in a tight turnaround.
The store has many stand-out features, from the authentic exposed woodwork to the artisan bread sections. Lots of attention was paid to detail and a seamless style was delivered from start to finish.
Boasting a more extensive and better quality range of freshly sourced fruit and vegetables and baked goods produced in-store, the new store vows to deliver top-notch stock. Lots of the imported produce is locally sourced, including homemade pies and cakes from a close by Warwickshire supplier. The whole concept is achieving a more luxurious shopping style yet still at a convenience store accessible level, perfect for students’ needs.
